disproduction

a collaboration with Kimberly English

cotton thread, various fabric, plaster, acrylic paint, wood, dimensions vary, 2017

disproduction is a call, an answer, an invitation, to be futile. Tension between calculation and mischief transforms dignity of space - leaving one in an accumulation of what is, pondering what could have been, what was, and what is for naught. The dance of push, pull simultaneously destroys and manifests this soft world that we inhabit. Defying folded order by wreaking miniscule destructions places the viewer in both a game and a grieving.
